# FAQ

## Paying fees

### Where do I top up?

Top up on the UniPayX website by scanning a QR code. The money goes into your UniPayX wallet. SIS does not take money directly. See [Top up your UniPayX wallet](/sis/manual/en/payment/payment/top-up.md).

### I topped up, but SIS still shows the old balance

Go back to the semester page and tap **Update balance**. SIS then reads your latest balance from UniPayX. See [Top up your UniPayX wallet](/sis/manual/en/payment/payment/top-up.md).

### Do I have to pay before I enroll?

Yes. In semesters 1 and 2, you must pay the semester fee in full before you can enter enrollment. Until you pay in full, the enrollment page is locked and shows a button to the payment page. See [Before you enroll](/sis/manual/en/enrollment/enrollment/before-you-enroll.md).

### My scholarship covers the whole fee. What do I do?

Tap **Confirm use of entitlement for the fee** on the semester page. You cannot confirm enrollment until you do. See [Scholarships, loans and confirming your entitlement](/sis/manual/en/payment/payment/scholarship-acknowledgement.md).

### Will UniPayX use my wallet before my scholarship?

Yes. If your wallet has a balance, UniPayX takes money from it first, then uses your entitlement for the rest. The confirm window tells you this. See [Scholarships, loans and confirming your entitlement](/sis/manual/en/payment/payment/scholarship-acknowledgement.md).

### I already paid. Why do I have to pay more?

Pay only the added amount on the semester page. This happens when the Registrar's Office adds a fee after you paid. What you already paid still counts. See [Additional fees](/sis/manual/en/payment/payment/additional-fee.md).

### Is any money taken when I confirm enrollment?

The flat-rate fee you already paid is not taken again. Some subjects have a special fee, such as subject 890-901. That fee is taken when you confirm. In the summer semester, the fee is also taken when you confirm. See [Subjects with a special fee](/sis/manual/en/enrollment/enrollment/special-fee-subjects.md).

### Can I get my semester fee back?

Yes. You can refund it to your wallet yourself until you have an enrolled subject in that semester. After that, you cannot refund it yourself. See [Refunds](/sis/manual/en/payment/payment/refunds.md).

### Do I get money back if I withdraw a subject?

Only a special subject fee comes back, such as the 890-901 credit fee. It goes back to your UniPayX wallet. The flat-rate fee of semesters 1 and 2 is not refunded. See [Withdraw a subject](/sis/manual/en/enrollment/enrollment/withdraw.md).

### When do I get a receipt?

The receipt is issued after the semester's enrollment period ends. Before that, you have a proof of payment, which is not a receipt. See [Payment history](/sis/manual/en/payment/payment/history.md).

## Using the website

### Can I use SIS in English?

Yes. Change the language on the Settings page or in the My account menu. See [Language](/sis/manual/en/settings/language.md).

### I am listed at more than one campus. How do I switch?

Tap the campus name in the top bar, or change it on the Settings page. You do not need to sign in again. See [Change campus](/sis/manual/en/settings/campus.md).
